Scholarships Still Open for Applications: Supporting the Next Generation of 4-H Leaders Through Opportunity, Education, and Storytelling
Nelsonville, OH (April 6, 2026) – Georgia Boot, America’s hardest-working boot for more than 85 years, proudly announces its role as a sponsor of the 4-H Youth in Action Scholarship Program, a premier initiative from National 4-H Council that celebrates young leaders who create meaningful change in their communities.
Applications for the 4-H Youth in Action Program are open through April 13. Teens ages 14–19 are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to share their 4-H story and compete for a $5,000 educational scholarship. “Georgia Boot is proud to support the next generation of leaders through the 4-H Youth in Action program,” said Josh Nihiser, marketing manager for Georgia boot. “These young individuals embody hard work, resilience, and community spirit – all values that align closely with our brand.”
Centered on developing passion, finding purpose, and inspiring others, the 4-H Youth in Action program amplifies the voices and leadership of 4-H youth nationwide. Participants gain access to a year of personalized media training, national storytelling opportunities, and leadership development; equipping them with the tools to shape their futures and positively impact others. Each year, four young people from around the country are named winners.
Through programs like this, 4-H is helping young people become Beyond Ready—gaining the skills, confidence, and real-world experiences they need to succeed in life and lead with purpose in a rapidly changing world.
“Our partnership with Georgia Boot helps open more doors for 4-H youth to grow as leaders and share their stories,” said Jake Worcester, Vice President of Development at National 4-H Council. “Through the 4-H Youth in Action program, we’re helping young people become Beyond Ready for what’s ahead—so they can make a real difference in their communities.”
