The Spring Fling and Derby are in the books and the Washington Reining Horse Association now moves on to their second show of the season in Monroe, WA June 2—5. The Classic, sponsored by Maria Danieli Real Estate and Timberland Homes, will have both NRHA approved and club classes so there is something for all levels of reiners. Friday evening will feature both the John Slack memorial Beginning Rider Buckle class and the Open Rider Maturity for horses 7 years of age and over. Saturday afternoon will have the non-professional riders’ maturity class along with classes for the youth riders. There are several classes for Arabian horses, 50- and-over riders and wonderful prizes to be won. Check out the web site,, for all the details and come try the sport of reining, or at least drop by to watch the action.
