Looking Ahead to the Reining Horse “Superbowl” in Oklahoma City
WRHA completed its show season with the Oct 7-9 Fall Spectacular and Futurity at the Appleatchee Riding Club in Wenatchee, sponsored by Northwest Weight Loss Surgery. WRHA members qualifying for the NRHA Regional Affiliate Finals left immediately after the show for Rancho Murieta, CA for the show hosted by West Coast Reining Association at the Murieta Equestrian Center Oct 12 – 16. NRHA members from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California compete in three divisions of Open classes, four divisions of Non Pro classes, two divisions each of Novice Horse Open and Novice Horse Non Pro classes, Rookie Professional and Rookie. Finalists in those classes qualify to compete in the NRHA North American Affiliate Championships, held in conjunction with the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City Nov 24 – Dec 3, 2011. The Superbowl of events for reiners, competitors come from around the world to compete for the coveted title of North American Affiliate Champion in their respective classes. Historically WRHA and the Northwest Region have done well and held their own at the NAAC. Good luck and safe travels to all competitors and spectators attending the NRHA Futurity and North American Affiliate Championships.
