Spring is here and the local shooters are gearing up for a fantastic and very busy 2014! The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) has a competition level for every shooter. Some shooters are happy competing at a walk and a trot, while others are feeling the need for speed. Never shot a gun before? Email us for a beginner’s clinic near you. The Pacific Northwest is home to several world qualifying and world and national champion shooters. There are local shooting clubs in western, eastern, and central Washington, western, eastern, and central Oregon, northern and southern Idaho, and Montana. Cowboy Mounted Shooters are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and are always willing to lend a helping hand. Visitors welcome at local practices. There are two mounted shooting national associations in the Pacific Northwest: The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, CowboyMountedShooting.com; the Mounted Shooters of America, msa.com. Western Washington Mounted Shooters is hosting the CMSA Washington State Cowboy Mounted Shooting Championships, August 29-31 in Moses Lake, WA. Visit westernwashingtonmountedshooters.com
