Attendees Raise Money to Support Park
By WA State Horse Park Staff
Thanks to the 250 gala attendees at Newcastle Golf Club in Newcastle, WA, on November 10th the Washington State Horse Park was able to raise $125,000. At least $60,000 of that will go toward the $4.9 million covered arena project which is expected to take place in 2019 and the remainder of the funds will be allocated to a number of other important projects and operations.
Guest speaker Dr. Mark Revenaugh, owner of Northwest Equine Performance in Muline, OR, entertained the audience with insightful stories based on his many years of international veterinary experience and united everyone in the room with their shared love of horses and the wonderful horse park facilities they are helping to develop.
Park management would like to thank the attendees—most of whom represented a wide range of English and western disciplines—for bidding on over 75 live and silent auction items and purchasing 335 raffle tickets for a 2019 Subaru Ascent sponsored by Cascade Auto Center in Wenatchee. Other major sponsors were Heritage Distilling Company, Suncadia Real Estate Company, 14 Hands Winery and J.P. Morgan.
Plans already are underway for another special event in 2019, so look for more details as they become available on the park’s website and Facebook page.
