WSHP Relies on Donations and Sponsorships
By Park Staff
Fall is here, and the Washington State Horse Park is wrapping up the 2018 season. It’s been a busy and exciting year for the park with many repeat English and Western events, as well as our first-time hosting Cowboy Dressage, Ranch Roping, Mustang Challenge and reining events.
The park relies on operating fees paid by all those who use it for recreational and competitive riding. It also depends on support from donations, sponsorships, government grants, volunteers, and in-kind contributions of goods and services. All of these supporters have created a thriving public-private partnership that serves the regional horse community while generating substantial benefits for the local economy and beyond.
Since the park is a non-profit 501(c) organization, donations made to it are generally tax-deductible. On November 10th WSHP will host its third annual Unbridled Evening Auction Dinner Gala at Newcastle Golf Club. The 300 guests expected at the event will get the latest news about the park’s covered arena project and other updates. They will also hear from the internationally acclaimed vet, Dr. Mark Revenaugh who is keynote speaker. Major sponsors of this event are Subaru Cascade Auto Center, 14 Hands, Heritage Distilling and Suncadia.
