Random prize drawings will take place all day so check out your number on the back of the badge and listen for it to be called. Receive horse treats for that special equine friend when you support the WSQHYA youth. Saturday wraps up with a party hosted by Evergreen Equine, Cascade Meadows and Paige Stroud Performance. This show is also a qualifier for the 2014 AQHA Novice Championships. The top WSQHA members signed up for state points can qualify to head to Las Vegas!
August 14-17 brings us to the AQHA Region One Scholarship Show. Oregon Alaska and Washington Affiliates joined together to raise funds for a $100,000 youth scholarship endowment fund. As of press, we have over $75,000 pledged towards this fund. The AQHA foundation will control the endowment as well as process the scholarship applications.
Plan to also attend the Northwest Emerald Show in September. New this year is the Saturday futurities. What a better way to spend your weekend than watching the top young horses and trainers compete for wins in the NSBA classes. Machine Made, Dr. Candice Hall and Dr. Cory Seebach again host a fantastic get together prior to the Masters Class. Cranbrook Dodge will add money to the pot to sweeten the win in this prestigious event. For more information on the upcoming shows visit wsqha.com.
