Time for Rest and New Focus at the Ranch
By Stonewater Staff
The peak busy season is over now, and everyone at Stonewater is taking some much-needed down time. With this comes the opportunity to tend to our horses in a way we simply do not have time for in the midst of summer camps and ministry. It’s rewarding to be able to spend some time giving back to our equine partners.
This will include a visit from the chiropractor, hoof trims, some one-on-one body work and training with Dorothea, and free turn-out time without work every day.
For Jackson and Dally, this means officially being adopted by Stonewater Ranch! Dally has met all of his TIP requirements and is now the first Stonewater Mustang. Jackson will not be far behind, as he learns to trailer load and lead outside of the confinement of the round pen and paddocks. This month, both mustangs will be joined by our Wild Hearts students for weekly sessions together.
The changing season means a change in focus at the ranch. For the next several months, we get to spend time investing in our local Wild Hearts students, and planning for next year.
