This celebration of mules and muleskinners is a Wallowa County tradition since its humble beginnings in 1981 and has progressed to one of the best mule shows in the West. This year’s show will be three full days of events that include classes for every age group and skill level. It is a fun family weekend and youngsters enjoy competing and showing their mulemanship abilities as much as the older contestants. Other events include a cowboy poetry gathering, non-motorized parade, pit BBQ dinner, quilt show, Dutch oven cook-off, mule clinics, cowboy church and a mule & horse sale. There will be artisans, exhibitors and a western gear show on The Green. Featured artist is well known Tennessee mule artist Bonnie Shields.
