Don’t Miss Moses Lake and Another Opportunity to Qualify for the Championships!
Washington Reining Horse Association held North American Affiliate Championship qualifying shows April 11 – 13 in Wenatchee, sponsored by Sky River Equestrian Center; and May 30 – June 1 in Monroe, co-sponsored by Maria Danieli and Timberland Homes. WRHA members have an additional opportunity to qualify for the Regional Affiliate Finals, the next step towards the North American Affiliate Championships by showing at the Reining Horse Association of the Northwest (RHANW) show in Moses Lake July 11 – 13. WRHA is a National Reining Horse Association affiliate, hosting three shows in Washington State with the third show to be held October 3 – 5 in Wenatchee.
WRHA offers the following NRHA classes at all shows, which require the horse to have an NRHA competition license and the rider and owner to be NRHA members: Open, Intermediate Open, Limited Open, Rookie Professional, Non Pro, Intermediate Non Pro, Limited Non Pro, Rookie Levels 1 & 2, Novice Horse Levels 1 & 2 in both Open and Non Pro, Youth ages 13 & under and Youth ages 14-18. WRHA also offers the following classes which do not require an NRHA competition license or NRHA membership, and are ideal for those new to reining: Ladies, Mens, Non Pro, Youth (Small Fry Reiner) ages 11 & under, and Beginner Rider. In addition, WRHA offers NRHA classes for Arabians and Part-Arabians in both Open and Non Pro divisions. Washington Reining Horse Association’s objective is to promote and encourage the showing of reining horses; and to develop and dissemble informational material deemed desirable to provide contestants and spectators a better understanding of a proper performance of the reining horse in the show arena.
