British event rider Oliver Townend won the 2018 CCI4* Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event in masterful fashion. One of only six four-star three-day events in the world, Land Rover Kentucky is held each year at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. With victory in the internationally renowned CCI4* Burghley Horse Trials to his credit last fall, Oliver is now poised to become the third rider in history to clinch the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing. The Land Rover Kentucky win pushes him to the top of the FEI World Rankings. Townend rode Angela Hilsop’s Cooley Master Class, a 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse, to cinch the Kentucky win.
