Washington High School Equestrian Teams Return to Lynden, WA for State Finals
The Equine Event Center is excited to be hosting the WAHSET state finals again in Lynden, WA. Youth competitors from the Washington High School Equestrian Teams and their horses will be gathering over Mother’s Day weekend May 8-11. This will be the second time the state finals have been at the NW Washington Fair Equine Event Center. In 2012, there were over 400 horses and 1,200 people on the grounds for this event. The EEC is able to offer several buildings and portable stalls to this great group of young horse enthusiasts. The facility was a horse haven with horses in 3 buildings, riders in 3 arenas and a round pen. Feeling right at home, families camped out on the beautiful grounds and the weather was fabulous. For 2014, the number of riders is expected to be greater and the EEC is up for the challenge. The event is inviting the public to come and enjoy all the action, as well as help raise funds for the organization by taking part in their silent auction. You can learn more about the WAHSET State Finals and the organization at wahset.org, or call the NW Washington Fair & Event Center at 360-354-4111.
