Liz Devine, DVM, MS, DACVS-LA, joined Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital’s equine ambulatory department in early March 2014. With the addition of Dr. Devine, Pilchuck has five board-certified large animal veterinarians on staff. Board-certified veterinarians receive extensive training in specific areas to provide an advanced level of patient care when needed.
Dr. Devine received her bachelor’s degree in equine science from Colorado State University and attended Iowa State University for veterinary school. Upon graduation, she did an internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital where she worked with a variety of western performance and race horses. She then went to Kansas State University and completed a surgical residency and Master of Science. She was hired as a faculty member there and provided emergency coverage for the surgery and medicine services. Dr. Devine is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons – Large Animal.
“With her strong experience providing general and surgical care, Dr. Devine makes a perfect addition to our team. Our clients and patients will benefit from having another equine practitioner and board-certified large animal surgeon available,” said Stephanie Meyer, DVM, CVA who leads the PVH ambulatory department.
