Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital is pleased to welcome Jennifer Finley, DVM, Ph.D., to its team of equine veterinarians. Joining PVH in September 2012, Dr. Finley has more than five years of experience providing advanced veterinary care to performance horses. Dr. Finley will focus her practice at PVH within the hospital’s Equine Performance Sports Medicine Institute. The Institute offers area horse owners specialized, comprehensive diagnostics and care for their equine sports partners, including lameness evaluations and the development of custom treatment plans. Dr. Finley previously spent four years as an associate veterinarian at Equine Medical and Surgical Group in southern California, specifically working with thoroughbred racehorses at Santa Anita, Hollywood Park and Del Mar racetracks. Some Pilchuck clients may remember Dr. Finley from her 2006 externship at the hospital. She looks forward to joining PVH on a permanent basis. Dr. Finley is passionate about caring for her equine patients, and is dedicated to optimizing their performance level and longevity. She received a B.S. in public health and Ph.D. in pathology from the University of Washington before pursuing her DVM from Washington State University, earning her degree in 2007. She then completed a year-long internship at San Luis Rey Equine Hospital in Bonsall, CA. Visit www.pilchuckvet.com for more information. Call 360.568.3111 to schedule a consultation.
