Fourth Annual Fund Raiser a Success
Forty-two participants turned out for this year’s fund raiser poker ride, held on September 28th at the Cowboy Campground in Idaho City. The trails were in excellent condition and everyone enjoyed a cool, but relaxing fall ride. The ride was followed by a delicious BBQ lunch, featuring Angie Magoffin’s famous ‘Blazen’ BBQ pulled pork, and great side dishes provided by the members.
Poker hands were handled a little differently this year with cards drawn before and after the ride. The 1st place winner was Marie Clare, and the 2ndplace winner was Anne Martin. This year included a youth raffle. First place winner of the youth raffle was Michaela Bocci. Cassidy Wright won second and third place ‘Lucky’ Arlynn Hacker won the 50/50 cash raffle.
This year’s participants included seven youth riders, one of which was a 4-year-old on our oldest Blazer (29 years young!). Thank you to all the riders, participants and volunteers that made the ride a success. Funds raised will help pay ABHA operating expenses and overhead. Sincere thanks to Bill Sterling and Terry Day with the Cowboy Campground for their great hospitality and care. ABHA is also very appreciative of the contributions provided by our many sponsors.
