The Ellensburg Rodeo arena will again play host to the Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tour finale on Sept. 3, 2011. The event is the culmination of nine bull-riding competitions held throughout the United States this year.
The added purse for the Ellensburg finale is $75,000. The tour’s combined purse is $465,000 and money earned on the tour counts toward the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association world standings.
The fast-paced tour finale starts at 8 p.m. in the Ellensburg Rodeo Arena with the top 40 bull riders competing in the long-go-round. The top 12 riders from the first round advance to the short-go competition where the tour champion will be named.
The event will be nationally televised on Great American Country TV (Charter digital channel 156 and Dish Network channel 167) at 10 p.m. Sept. 18 and Sept. 25. The event will repeat several times in September, October and November.
