The Diamond-McNabb Ranch Horse Sale will be held June 3rd, 2023 at the Powderhorn Ranch outside of Douglas, Wyoming where western traditions run deep. The mission is to provide quality horses that are solid, versatile, and well-rounded. Whether you’re an experienced ranch hand, a competitor, recreational rider, or horseman wanting to improve your skills you can find your next great mount.
Diamond Land and Livestock partnered with world-renowned horse trainer, Ken McNabb, in 2009 to create a place for anyone to find the perfect horse for their needs. The motivation behind the partnership began, and remains, on raising versatile horses that are performance bred, pasture raised, and well trained. The sale features bloodlines from some of the industry’s leading stallions, including, Playgun, High Brow Cat, Peppy Otoe San, and Royal Fletch. From foundation planning to the final trained horse, this partnership has perfected the process of creating a match for any Quarter Horse discipline, and confidently provides a Good Fit Guarantee of satisfaction.

A GOOD-hearted gelding, who likes to please and wants to do well! Amigo is easy to catch, rides bareback in a halter and has been ridden bridleless too! Here is a gelding with smooth gaits, transitions and a nice stop and backup off your seat. Amigo will pick up his rider at the mounting block and stand so you can tie your jacket on the back. Wrangle horses, move cattle, find an adventure on the trail; you name it Amigo is up for it.

What a beauty! Dixie has a bigger stride to match her build. You will find her a graceful mount that is trusted with a soft rein. Solid, willing to navigate hills, creeks, brush or take her to an obstacle course.

The ultimate adventure buddy, Zeb has seen extensive country from Wyoming rocky ridges to the Arizona desert and will go anywhere you point him! This gelding is content to ride out alone or in a group and he will be happy to take the lead or bring up the rear. Lope pretty circles in the arena, go work cattle on him or wrangle horses bareback!

Talk about the best of the best! Short he may be, but he’s all heart. 2 Hearts will give you his best from dawn to dark. He’s spent weeks running cattle down through the brush, then turned around and given to a naïve rider and he never batted an eye. Rope a cow, swim the river, run horses or let a kid take a stroll. He was used to film a TV show! Here is an all-around true GEM!

Bones has a sweet and willing personality that is easy to fall in love with. Surefooted over all terrain, he goes through obstacles without blinking, has ridden through town without bobble and just never misses a beat. A go to gelding for anything! He will watch a cow, chase a bull into belly deep water, wrangle horses, go all day without running out of steam, or just take a nice trail ride. Easily could be a top pick for the show pen.
